The Lord's Closet has been assisting families recover from disasters such as hurricanes, floods and
fire since 1989.
In 1989, Hurricane Hugo ravaged the Island of St. Kitts. The mission outreach for the Assembly of
God guided us to a pastor on the Island. We were able to communicate with him and asked him to
give us a list of things that were needed. He sent us a 12-page list of needs. This was our first project
of this type and we weren't quite sure what to do. We prayed and asked God to guide us and we
shipped a container with everything they asked for to the island.
TLC was also involved in a relief project in th Philippines. We worked hand in hand with Rev. Danny
Quijano, senior pastor of the Philippine Christian Church of Morristown, NJ to help families whose
lives were devastated by disaster.
We have been involved in several other disasters here in the USA since then. Hurricane Andrew
ravaged Florida and Louisiana. We sent several shipments to Florida and two tractor trailer loads of
furniture, appliances and just about anything you could find in a house to Louisiana.
When the disaster area is not in the news every night everyone forgets about the need that still exists
for the families who are still rebuilding their homes. With your help, TLC will not forget about them
and we will help as many as we can.
Please plan an extra monthly gift to help us meet this great need. We hope to make a difference in a
concentrated area, as we are not yet large enough to make a difference in the whole area.

The Lord's Closet brought trucks loaded
with furniture, major appliances and
house hold items for the next two years.
As you look at the pictures below you
can really see the power of water.
This is one of the areas in West
Virginia where there is about 90 %
unemployment and families struggle to
just meet everyday expenses.
