The Lord's Closet continues to expand as other agencies find out about the services TLC provides. We are asking every one to make a financial investment in the future of TLC. The Lord's Closet accepts donations of clothing (all seasons, all year) and shoes. TLC clothes people
with your clothing. We DO NOT - I repeat - DO NOT cut up your clothing for rags like many other
organizations do to raise money.
Because we clothe people with your clothing, we ask the following:
Everything MUST be freshly laundered or dry-cleaned.
NO stains, tears, rips, missing buttons or broken zippers.
Please separate and label bags MENS - LADIES - BOYS - GIRLS including - SIZE.
Please pack everything in 32gal black plastic or white kitchen garbage bags.
Please NO LARGER then 32gal, because we can't lift them.
Our only drop off day is Saturday from 10:00 to 2:00.
Please include a donation of $10.00 per 32gal bag ( 3 white kitchen bags = 1 32gal bag) or equivalent
so we can ship your clothing and provide it to families in need.
We accept cash, check or credit and debit cards.
The Lord's Closet is 100% volunteer and has been able to serve those in need because of your

PLEASE NOTE:
After 19 years of Service to the local community and Project Appalachia, TLC has been forced to open
a THRIFT STORE to help keep the organization in operation. For 19 years the community supported
the ministry financially. When the economy in our country changed the financial support dropped
dramatically. TLC has had to make this change in order to continue our mission to the community
and families in need. We are only using about 5% of the clothing and about 25% of the furniture to
raise money for TLC. Everything else is still being packed for PROJECT APPALACHIA.

The Lord's Closet is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We will be happy to give you a receipt for
your donations. See MONETARY DONATIONS for more details.
To get the most out of your donation, "I.R.S.", NOT TLC, requires you to itemize your donation of
goods. We also recommend that you take pictures to show the quality of your donation.
We will be happy to give you a receipt that says "AS PER ATTACHED LIST" and shows your
monetary gift as well. We stamp each page of your list to confirm that we received the items listed.
There is a computer program called "It's Deductible" that will also give you:
the value acceptable to IRS
a complete printout of your items, quantities and value
a total value of your donated items.

TLC receives thousands of items of clothing verses almost no underwear. We need everyone to help
us with NEW underwear. If everyone who reads this would buy underwear for their family and bring
it to TLC, then we will have a complete variety of sizes for those receiving your clothing.
Would you be willing to head up a new underwear drive at your church once or twice a year. Pick a
date and ask everyone to buy underwear for their family, put it in a bag and bring it to church. Bring
it to TLC and know that many people will be blessed.

Name, address, phone number.
An itemized list or copy of It'sDeductible printout ( so we can sign and stamp it for IRS).
A Monetary Gift (checks only) to help TLC cover our overhead.
Most of our clothing is shipped to Appalachia and some goes overseas to third world countries.

customers to buy underwear for their family and donate it to The Lord's Closet. Get their Name and Address
so we can send them a receipt. The stores love this because they make additional sales because of your youth
group's project. They may also donate some additional product to the cause. It's also a tax write off for them.
